Working late in Buffalo Grove then racing downtown to Grant Park to run a race at 7 pm was a trip. Made it to the start line with about 2-3 minutes to spare. That said, this was my best race of the season. Though not my best time for this race, which was in the 27 minute range in 2005 or 2006.

I ran a 4 mile race the morning I left for Vegas. As usual, I had slacked off on my training and came into this race pretty unprepared. I decided to pace myself for the first two miles and then see how I was feeling, and then really push the last two. It worked out well, although my pace slacked from the previous race. I came in the 33rd percentile.
